What better place to complete Girl Scout badges related to wildlife or science, than a wildlife rehabilitation center? Our interactive programs immerse scouts in a variety of Texas wildlife topics and activities while meeting specific badge requirements. All programs will include a live animal appearance!*

Explore Daisy Badges

Animal Observer: While using all five of their senses, Girl Scouts will learn about and meet HHS Wildlife Center Ambassador Animals*. Sign up to learn about our amazing Texas Wildlife and their habitats.

ECO Learner: At HHS Wildlife Center, we care deeply about keeping the world around us safe and available for future generations. To become an ECO Learner or ECO Friend, Girl Scouts will learn how to stay safe in outdoor spaces while simultaneously taking care of their environment.

Outdoor Art Maker: With help from one of our Ambassador Animals, Girl Scouts of all ages will love getting creative outside. Based on badge requirements, scouts will draw, dance, paint, or photograph something that inspires them outdoors. 

STEM Career Exploration: Through talks, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive programming, Girl Scouts will explore what their future career could look like. Learn about the STEM Career field through a Wildlife Center lens. Girls will meet staff from our Wildlife Education, Veterinarian, and Rehabilitation teams.

Explore Brownie Badges

Bugs: In this Brownie program, girl scouts will get up close and personal with some of our Wildlife center's creepy, crawly insects. Though many humans find bugs creepy or gross, they are vital to maintaining our ecosystems!

ECO Friend: At HHS Wildlife Center, we care deeply about keeping the world around us safe and available for future generations. To become an ECO Learner or ECO Friend, Girl Scouts will learn how to stay safe in outdoor spaces while simultaneously taking care of their environment.

Ambassador

Register Now!

Live animal appearances may include a selection from the following: turtles, snakes, birds, and small mammals. Our organization has a “no touch” policy for the safety of our participants and wildlife ambassadors. We provide skins, skulls, and other objects that participants are welcome to touch and examine.

*We make every effort to have an educational ambassador in our programming. Please note that they are still wild animals, and we cannot guarantee a specific ambassador's appearance at any time.

HHS Wildlife Center receives no state or federal funding for general operations and is supported entirely by donations and private grants. Scout Workshop fees help support our growing organization and education efforts. Thank you for your support.
