Our busy season is ending and we are excitedly getting ready for our big move to our new building. In anticipation of this move we are closing suites 122 and 208 in December.
What does this mean for volunteers?
We still welcome you to complete our request forms, however with the reduced space and storage, all project and group opportunities will reduce to an as needed basis and are likely to contain a variety of tasks such as prepping program materials, cleaning, and packing. Thank you so much for your interest. We will update the website when the move is complete.
HHS Wildlife Center welcomes participation from Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church groups, business groups, and other organizations interested in serving their community by helping our local wildlife through HHS Wildlife Center.  People interested in performing service project work for HHS Wildlife Center are not required to complete volunteer orientation. Every effort is made to match your needs and capabilities with a project that can be successfully completed. Please keep in mind that our needs are seasonal and that we might not be able to assign a project during our Low Season when our needs are minimal.
Scouts:
For Eagle Scout Service Projects and Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards project selection, scheduling and assignment must be coordinated with HHS Wildlife Center Scout Liaisons. Please contact the Girl Scout Liaison or Boy Scout Liaison for more details.
For younger scouts wanting an onsite Badge Program please visit our Girl Scout Workshop page otherwise to request an offsite service project please fill out our Project Request Form below.
Group and Individual Service Projects:
Groups and individuals wanting a service project to complete on your own offsite, please fill out our Project Request Form. There are several options to accommodate your requirements, but keep in mind that our needs are seasonal.
If you are interested in an onsite project please visit our Girl Scout Workshop page or our Wildlife Workshop page.
Volunteer Group Events:
HHS Wildlife Center welcomes participation from church groups, business groups, and other organizations wanting to conduct a day of service. Please keep in mind that every effort is made to match your needs and capabilities however we might not be able to assign a project. Group volunteering events do not include any animal handling. For group events we will make every effort to have live animal appearances if requested however please note that they are still wild animals and we cannot guarantee a specific ambassador's appearance at any time.
For any other questions please email the Volunteer Coordinator.
